Tablet-Woven Inscription Band
This band is woven with 5/2 perle cotton for warp and weft, using letters based on Gill Sans from my book Please Weave a Message: Instructions and Graphs for Tablet-Woven Calligraphy, There are 24 tablets for the pattern area, and 8 tablets on each side for the borders. The woven area shown is approximately 17" x 1-7/8".
I wove this band as a demonstration piece at the Multnomah County Fair, Oregon State Fair, and other events during 2003.
